Unveiling The Devouring Sky
“He carries the shadow of the god who made him . . .
. . . and the grief of every kingdom lost beneath his wings.”
I didn’t mean to write about the end of the world—but the sky broke, and she was standing beneath it.
One image. That’s all it took. A girl caught in a moment of collapse, something ancient watching from beyond, and a sky unraveling at the seams. I didn’t know her name yet. I didn’t know what the world had taken from her. I just knew she was going to be the one standing between it all and the end.
I’ve been keeping this story close to my chest for a long time, but I can’t contain the excitement anymore.
Yes, there are dragons.
Yes, there is magic.
Yes, there are politics, crumbling kingdoms, dark creatures, and gods that whisper from behind the veil.
It’s called The Devouring Sky, and it’s currently in the hands of my beta readers.
Writing this novel has been one of the most intense, consuming experiences of my creative life. So much so that I dreamed about it—scenes, lines of dialogue, entire moments unraveling in my sleep like sparks waiting to ignite. It filled every quiet space in my day, and instead of feeling overwhelmed, I felt alive.
This book is about a girl who didn’t ask to become anything extraordinary—but the world begged her to anyway. It’s about light and shadow, and what happens when you’re caught in between. And while I’m not quite ready to reveal too much just yet, I promise this:
If you’ve ever carried more than you thought you could,
If you’ve ever questioned your place in the story,
If you’ve ever longed to be seen in the dark—
Then maybe you’ll find something here, beneath The Devouring Sky.
For the trope lovers, here’s what you can expect:
✨ reluctant hero
✨ slow-burn tension
✨ found family & fractured loyalty
✨ light vs shadow vs twilight magic
✨ enemies forced to become allies
✨ one dragon you’ll love—and one you’ll fear
✨ morally gray men, stubborn women, and gods who do not forgive
More soon. I can’t wait to share this world with you.
